FLYING RAT
 
I shot this hand-processed 16mm film while living in New Orleans Louisiana, pre-hurricane Katrina. FLYING RAT was completed - with the recording and final editing - in Los Angeles. This is a very special film personally. It brings back fond memories of that city, and the connections I made there, and especially my friend HELEN HILL. She turned me on to this process, and always reminded me to look at the world around me to tell my stories. I miss her everyday. The song was written with the help of another great New Orleans friend and collaborator LUKE WINSLOW KING, and is featured on his recently produced album.
